Speaking test (2)

Part (2) of the speaking test :

In this part you will be asked to talk uninterrupted for up to 2 minutes on certain topic chosen by the examiner.

In this part you will have a minute to think about what you are going to talk about.
The examiner will give you the topic written on a card.
don't forget that long turn is your turn so try to make most of it.

Important note .
your talk should over all the points given in the card.

1-Media in your country
2-describe a place where you have lived .
3-take about a product you buy regularly.
4-describe a country you visited last year.
5-talk about one of your friends
6-describe a book you have read recently.

8-Describe someone in your family that you really admire.
9-Describe a photograph that means a lot to you.

Speaking test

The speaking test will have three parts :

1- Introduction .
2- Individual long turn.
3- Two-way discussion.

Today we will focus on part 1.

PART (1) : INTRODUCTION

in this part the examiner will introduce him or herself to you and ask you your identity.

You should note that giving infomative answers will make it easy to for the examiner to hold a conversation with you (avoid short answers like, yes. or no. ) and the more impressed the examiner will be with your fluency.

the examiner follows a frame of questions covers certain areas such as your interests ,studies ,and working life.
questions you can meet in the exam:-

1-can you introduce your self ?
2-what is your flat looks like ?
3-do you a student or have a job ?
4-tell me about your study (job) ?
5-do you interested in your job ?
6-what are your hobbies ?
7-do you live alone or with your family ?

Very important tips for IELTS writing

A- For Task 1

You will have an illustration the most important points the examiner looks for are :-
1-Explaination of the most important data on the chart.
2-The ability to summarize the chart.
SO try to cover the above points in your answer as the chart contains huge amount of information which is difficult to be covered in details.

B-For task 2

In the introduction you must focus mainly on the question,and remember that the first impression lasts,so try to make you introduction attractive.
